They use the battle simulator a lot. I also like the idea of them having underground bunkers to train in. Even non ShinRa ones that they can use as hideouts if/when things get bad.

Most extra training is received on the job. There is at least a year of supervised missions with a more experienced Turk before you’re released to the world. They train/work with everyone to make them flexible. Taking classes or self study on down days

I hc they are usually recruited for one thing in particular and then go through a written/physical/oral exam to decide what their strengths/interests are and lean into that. I also think part of their training is being tortured/beaten to find their breaking point.

Oh, that’s clever. I just assume the are driving trucks up to the edge and just dumping it RIGHT down there. They probably burn a portion of it too, it’s not like they are overly concerned with air quality. 😂
