Today I learned that Telelgram has a privacy setting to prevent anyone from seeing your pfp, and that setting was active on my account for some reason which means every person I've ever contacted on there has only seen me as a colored circle.

There is power in imposing an ending, even an arbitrary one. Things don't properly "end" in real life, they just flow into the next thing, but we are storytelling animals. We need things to end so we can begin something new.

On a personal development level, last year was easily the most fulfilling of my life. There is still much potential, and I look forward to continuing to cultivate that in 2026.

I sincerely believe the real cultural impact of Avatar is pretty fucked up and poignant: for most people on Earth, its computer generated imagery of an imagined planet made by artists is the only affordable way to connect to an immersive experience of natural habitats we’ve already destroyed here.

Talking about the Yule Goat, lets talk about the Julbocken and Julebukking. There is an old Scandinavian tradition of dressing up as the Yule Goat, and going door by door singing Christmas songs and asking for candy. In Finland, the Yule Goat (Joulupukki) has the role of a gift giver, like Santa.
