I don't think they were ever intended to be anything more than play aids, though. They're essentially reference tools and a way to visualize a character's "loadout", but I don't remember them being promised as anything more.
In what way would you have wanted them incorporated into the game?

In what way would you have wanted them incorporated into the game?
The setting really lends itself well to this kind of thing (characters are supposed to be used to reality bending, and the idea of losing memories of other people is as commonplace as forgetting where you set your keys down) so I didn't obsess over getting the timey-wimey details correct.

And nearly stumbled upon THEMSELVES exiting the gates of the Haven to go on the mission. The consequences of getting that close to the god corpse meant that the party was displaced in time!

This was a few months ago now, GM'ing a Broken Weave campaign. Players went out for a routine mission, on the return home they stopped to harvest godbone from the shattered corpse of a god (as you do) and it triggered a secret reality-bending effect that I chose to keep secret until they got home...
