It's sort of wild how drastically official WotC material has tilted away from ribbon abilities. Seems like most class and subclass features are straight mechanical upgrades now. Not a lot of things like tools, languages or non-combat abilitites/skills

Worldbuilding Tip 37: The known and unknown are powerful tools in worldbuilding. What do characters know about people and places? What do they think they know but later learn more about? What unknown elements must they explore to overcome hurdles and achieve goals? Make use of veils and revelations.

Now that I am reading a copy of it, I have to say that I am thoroughly impressed with Daggerheart!

The Darrington Press team have done a tremendous job at creating a unique and narrative-focused fantasy game that is just enough of a sandbox to get creative!
