setup doesn’t allow the tyres to heat up efficiently under normal conditions. However, this approach could also lead to overheating — which in turn might cause excessive tyre degradation.

Lewis #Hamilton got the pole, but the car to beat will remain #Mclaren, where in all three sectors at least one of the two McL39s is in the top 3 fastest.

Due to the very long 1.2 km straight, aerodynamic efficiency and DRS performance are crucial aspects.

We might see setups similar to that of the #RedBull RB20, which utilizes the movable flap with higher downforce, resulting in greater DRS efficiency.

Sidepods & Airbox
Looking at the sidepods, key differences emerge compared to last season:

Inlet Design: McLaren follows the "P" philosophy while maintaining its own design identity. Ferrari’s inlet remains largely unchanged, though the overbite shows similarities to its rival.

Both #Ferrari & #McLaren have undergone
significant changes, starting with the front section:

➡️The flap shapes follow last year's concepts. Ferrari trims its flap near the endplate, while McLaren's is more uniform for higher downforce.

From pre-season tests we can take a closer look at the new inlets of the #Mercedes W16.

In addition to this we can see that the posterior arm of the upper traingol has been raised, probably to fix the anti-dive effect. 1/2

The last time #Ferrari used pull-rods was in 2015 with the SF15-T, a difference of 10 years.

In addition to the pull rod it is interesting to evaluate how the suspensive scheme e the air intakes of the brakes has evolved from ten years ago to today
