In Nov 2025, I received an apology from a VP at Boston Properties.

They researched obligations at BSA Space at Atlantic Wharf, and reversed years of denials to me.

BSA moves out in October. Will the 20,000sf space be commercial/office, or a lightning rod for public activation, as BSA was?

Politico morning email by @kellygarrity.bsky.social points out why Sen. Warren’s speech may be worth watching. Here’s the introduction…

Is this resolution a “check and balance” against bad government? A resolution in which no example Open Meeting Law violation is cited?

Raising suspicion and the spectre of a violation suffice as a “check and balance?” Is constant rock throwing and acrimony productive?
January 12, 2026 at 11:50 AM
Let’s lock up the City Council in weeks of public acrimony over a process that the City charter itself calls for an internal resolution.

The public rock throwing at Councilor Coletta began six months ago. For what, her audacity?

A resolution designed to trash seven Councilors.

City Council update.
January 12, 2026 at 4:31 AM
To the clear delight of MAGA and right-leaning Democrats, Councilor @edflynnforboston.bsky.social is calling for an audit of a $560m program.

No mention that the Boston Finance Commission detected the discrepancy; reported it to the feds; and launched an investigation of the errant nonprofit?
January 12, 2026 at 1:02 AM
Councilor Flynn has responded. And I replied to his response.

The media gleefully marginalizes Councilors, dismissing them as “loyalists,” nevermind the fact that the “7” are the most productive Councilors.

When will the press take on demagogues and obstructionists instead of lionizing them?
January 12, 2026 at 12:36 AM
Here’s the resolution. Why not simply file an open meeting law complaint instead of crafting a resolution designed by its sponsor to trash colleagues even if no violation occurred?
January 12, 2026 at 12:09 AM
This Month: Councilors will vote on Clr. Flynn’s resolution that doesn’t provide a basis for an Open Meeting Law compliant. The vote is to acknowledge a violation “may” have occurred.

In other words, 7 Councilors are being set up to fail in a no-win situation. The Herald loves this BS.

For Boston Family Days, the MFA set up tables for family watercoloring… very popular!

The museum is really buzzing today.

Nancy Berliner, curator of the must-see temporary exhibition “One Hundred Stitches, One Hundred Villages,” just sat down for a bite to eat! ❤️

Great news for the Commonwealth. MCCA has a solid board, interested in reform, and Mr. Barros is a terrific choice for this role. I was no fan of Mayor Walsh, but Barros was a shining star.

The MCCA audit is an eye-opening read… www.mass.gov/audit/audit-...

Herald Op-Ed:

Venerable Boston developer Alan Leventhal proposes the creation of an organization of activists, community groups and business leaders across the Commonwealth “to listen, engage and build consensus on common sense solutions to the challenges facing our citizens and our businesses.”

Relevant to this discussion, here is the breakdown in votes, along with the media’s characterization of “Independent Thinkers” vs. “Loyalists.”. Votes for Councilor Worrell are in the column at left, votes for Councilor Breadon are in the column at right.

Gentle reminder, as we wrap up Mayor Wu’s Inauguration Week w Councilor Flynn pounding the table for an audit of the Boston Finance Commission and complaining about an Open Meeting Law violation:

Councilor Flynn crapped all over Mayor Wu’s 2024 SOTC.

Every time Wu is celebrated, he’s in overdrive.
January 11, 2026 at 12:03 AM
I honestly don’t care. It’s quite possible she had eight or more votes lined up when she announced that she had it locked up.

Oh the audacity she had, announcing a victory before the votes were in. Damn her to hell, Murphy, Flynn, Vennochi et al, damn Coletta-Zapata to hell!!!

At left below, Council members lionized by reporters and columnists this week as serving a “checks and balances” function of City government.

Also described by reporters as the “independent” Council members.

Rock throwers are never held accountable for their misdeeds, and I mean never.
January 10, 2026 at 8:06 PM
A constant flow of acrimony, conspiracies, costly fishing expeditions and unfounded allegations.

JUST IN TODAY: A claim of an open meeting law violation without a single alleged example.
January 10, 2026 at 6:58 PM
Disappointing that Councilor Flynn is tripling down on the acrimony this year, challenging the integrity, honesty and motives of colleagues in the press and across social media.

Who else is pillorying colleagues this way, day after day, week after week? Is this a new normal?
January 10, 2026 at 12:27 PM
Trivial but symbolic…

Months were spent last year bickering about the Cracker Barrel logo, yet even the most basic design principles aren’t considered in White House renovations.

Why choose this typeface if you’re going to trash it up by ignoring necessary white space? And why “The” Oval Office?
January 10, 2026 at 11:38 AM
This week alone, @edflynnforboston.bsky.social sowed seeds of distrust in the Finance Commission; labeled colleagues as untrustworthy 👇🏼; joined forces with BPI and former Councilor Fernandes Anderson in trashing Councilor @ruthzee.bsky.social @ben4district6.bsky.social and others. Grievances 24/7.

@gintautasd.bsky.social today: “None of them Mayor Wu’s.”

However one feels about Mayor Wu’s tax relief plans, Senator Nick Collins bears responsibility for repeatedly obstructing Wu’s proposals from being debated and voted on. With respect — and I mean that, Senator Collins, facts are facts.
January 9, 2026 at 2:17 PM
Councilor Murphy didn’t disclose the estimated cost of auditing a $560 million program based on a single incident.

Councilor Murphy didn’t disclose the extraordinary performance of the City’s Finance Commission in discovering, reporting and investigating the fraud.

Jackpot! 🎰

Below, my Globe comment regarding the possible appointment of John Barros as interim ED of MCCA. I'd welcome Barros to this position for any number of reasons.

The MCCA audit (posted online) is really a MUST-READ.
January 8, 2026 at 7:22 PM
CORRECTION: Senator Nick Collins raised $52,300 in Dec 2025, some of which I've been informed had been reported late by OCPF (on 1/6/26).

Accordingly, challenger Latoya Gayle raised roughly 19% of that corrected total during the same period, not "nearly 33%" as I stated earlier.
