Nevertheless, she persisted.

Is media influence on society overstated? I’d agree with all points made in your morning email.

But does the public have a role in pointing biases out to the press, not by bringing torches and pitchforks, but receipts? IMO the answer is yes, well-founded public complaints may improve coverage.

1) I hope I don’t end up on your block list. I am pesky, but try to bring receipts.

2) Can you respond regarding disclosures expected when sourcing/quoting political strategists and dark money nonprofits? Happy to bring receipts that evidence the issue is worthy of concern.

And for the record, Maynard has blocked me across all BPI’s social media platforms. Why? I was bringing receipts, not simply haranguing him/BPI.

Dan, why do Boston media outlets and even (disappointingly) you soft shoe around what BPI is? A boiler room operation producing one respectable study with Tufts? Have you read BPI’s study of BPS? Followed who on City Council is routinely elevated?

Grad student? Founder of a policy nonprofit?

Maynard is a career political strategist. BPI isn’t a traditional think tank, it’s a dark money 501(c)4 that doesn’t disclose who its backers are. BPI has been playing favorites on City Council, admittedly even writing Q’s a Councilor asked at hearings.

They’re crashing out about 32k? That’s embarrassing. It’s a rounding error to a city the size of Boston

Here’s the resolution. Why not simply file an open meeting law complaint instead of crafting a resolution designed by its sponsor to trash colleagues even if no violation occurred?
