Btw - catch-up soon? Saw Warrington Runcorn New Town Development Plan the other night at the trades club - was great!

I'd just worry thinner = more likely to break/bend when you sit down inadvertently with it in your back pocket? Not seen much about it but havent they also announced a magnetic battery pack for it while saying it lasts a full day without it (presumably so long as you don't do much with it)?

You say that, but a ladder that can soothingly tell me everything's fine when i'm 20 foot in the air (and can phone an ambulance) feels quite appealing 😂

I elected to use the credit card check - any time a website wants a photo of me these days my default assumption is they're harvesting biometric face data to ultimately sell to someone 😳 (tho TBF the horse has well and truly bolted thanks to facebook, and part of me wants to know it's guess).

To be fair evri don't usually look the extra instructions I give to our house given we live up a track away from where the centre of our postcode geolocates to (nor try ringing if confused), so I'm guessing all the tips you can leave to help the driver is just theatre :-/

(Also, i didnt realise until i saw it mentioned somewhere online, but track assist that tries to keep you on the core track is on by default - you need to turn if off to start getting properly creative with jumps/speedboosts)

I think on the one hand to allow for 24 players they've made the courses a bit wider so it feels a bit looser design-wise, BUT there's scope for finding inventive short-cuts if you have the right powerups (maybe thats where free-roam is helpful) - i've seen some videos of crazy creative shortcuts!

Knockout however feels like exhilarating chaos with everyone vying not to be at the back of the pack and knocked out, and it's so easy to go from 1st to back of the pack with a shell and being run over.

@gametripperuk.bsky.social I think to my mind the good stuff is the online Knockout tour, the cups don't feel that different to mariokart of old, the free roaming a little boring (i had imagined it was going to be online populated with other people, eg challenging each other to bespoke races).

Big Walk looked the most exciting to me, would love to see it on the switch2 (am slightly worried I don't have enough gaming friends to make the most out of it tho! 😳)
