I think our dogs are related. Is yours a mix? (Our DNA test said mostly chihuahua + poodle, plus several other things.)

The scene is based on our fireplace. Rosy (the stick-legged tan dog) died last spring and we adopted Daisy (the floppy-eared brown dog) this year.

For Christmas, I memorialized my dogs in miniature. The dogs were created by artist Lucy Francis. The scale is a little larger than 1:12 (standard dollhouse scale).

During the stream today, BT1D Play cofounder Hans ten Cate ( who worked on Sims console ports at EA) posted in chat about limitations of bringing the games to console and it jogged a memory of an Amazon review I wrote for Sims 3 Pets on PS3. I just looked it up and... TOP CRITICAL REVIEW, BABY!

I am a big Sims fan and have always played the PC versions before this. The reviews I read said that Sims 3 Pets was fairly robust for PS3 so I opted to get that and play on the couch rather than drop a ton of money on the PC game and all the expansion packs. (I already did that on Sims 2 and it still plays fine!) In general this game is entertaining but there are a few limitations that were not mentioned in any of the reviews I read, which are actually pretty upsetting when you consider that for many of us, The Sims is all about creating a family, building relationships, etc.
