We'll see if I'm more active here than I was on the other site
Seeing Freddy Vs. Jason on opening night with an incredibly vocal crowd. It felt like we were watching a wrestling match with half the crowd chanting for Freddy and the other half chanting for Jason.

It would be really helpful if you would say that this executive order has absolutely no legal power

Fan of yours but I don't think quoting their biggest competitor as to why this is a bad deal is nearly as convincing as you seem to think it is. Also, while I hate the Netflix/WB merger, better Netflix buy it than Paramount.

Finally got around to watching Passion Fish this week. Another movie added to the (long) list of Sayles films I love

I have no idea how any democrat can look at last week’s elections and think that their best move is unconditional surrender. You are completely unfit to meet the current moment and I look forward to donating to whoever is going against you in the primary.

Sadly unsurprising that you care more about this than about the vice president following several neo nazis.

The ones that come to mind (and I’m sure I’ll kick myself later for forgetting some): Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now” playing on the jukebox in Shaun of the Dead, the big music scene in Sinners, and the cast singing “Under Pressure” in The Magicians (maybe I’m just a sucker for Queen?).

My first thought was actually Sam Rockwell from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the original). Still what I think of when I see him

You consider it news to promote racist hit pieces from the NY Post? Isn’t CNN supposed to be better than that?

I spend far too much time thinking about how the evil master plan of villain in the Charlie’s Angels movie from 2000 was that he’d secretly turn every cellphone into a gps device so anyone could be tracked. He could have just waited a couple years and we’d do that ourselves

Do you own the two disc 25th anniversary dvd? If so, you and I are in the exact same boat. It’s even been on my “to watch” shelf of dvds I’ve been meaning get to for months now

That’ll show him

Clint for Unforgiven, Miyazaki for Spirited Away, and Curtiz for Casablanca are the ones that spring to mind

@petebuttigieg.bsky.social any particular reason why you felt the need to speak out against the progressive democrat candidate on the other side of the country?
September 23, 2025 at 5:55 AM
Since you didn't post about it, I'm responding to it here: I don't know why you thought it was a good idea to weigh in against the progressive candidate in the Seattle mayoral race (and for the one who is receiving MAGA endorsements), but as someone who was a fan of yours I'm incredibly disappointed

You’re describing the exact campaign Kamala Harris ran to become the first democrat presidential candidate in 20 years to lose the popular vote. Maybe democrats should try running as strong democrats instead of running as republicans light and thinking that will win people to their side

He didn’t say anything about Charlie Kirk. His comments were all about people capitalizing on Charlie Kirk’s murder. The headline shouldn’t mischaracterize what he said
