My different characterization of this is that a person who spouts off political opinions more or less randomly is likely to get "cancelled" by the left, told he's a fascist, etc etc etc and so if he votes he'll probably vote for Trump.

big problem i find with anglos is that their education systems seem to prioritize nazi germany as some almost mystical state that appeared from nowhere, and was vanquished like a fantasy movie. The reality is they were the government for like 15 years
Fwiw one of the issues here is that German does continue using a bunch of words that the Nazis used in a very particular way for banal things. In this case it means "habitat" in the biological sense. But much as with "luftwaffe" for the airforce, I kind of have to suggest They Have Been Ruined
