finally watched The Kids Are Alright last night. ELECTRIFYING performances. as soon as it was over, i wanted to watch it again. pete townshend is/was one of the best musical minds of the 60s/70s. david byrne with a lamp is great, but this tops it

stance on the new danny brown album: on first listen, hated it, thought it was incoherent. grew on me on the second listen and realized that the problem lies squarely with the song Green Light. danny brown may be scaring the hoes, but on stardust, it also sounds like he's one of the girls.

love this song, it's one of my all-time favourites. but i think The Nerves might have the definitive version, not simply because it was the original, but because you BELIEVE Jack Lee when he sings about desperate yearning and fearing rejection... whereas debbie harry? no way i believe her
that piece in defector about One Battle After Another was not that great, sorry to say. and i do say this as someone who would grade the film a B.
