It's an abundant year for berries. These on the beautiful Yew (Taxus baccata). #Autumn #Berries
A close up of part of a Yew tree branch with its needles brightly decorated with red berries.

You can tell it's nearly the Spring Tide because the Marine Lake is almost completely submerged. Still a few people out for a night time swim though. I needed to get out and clear my head and I'm so glad I did. #Clevedon #WalkingForWellness
The glowing embers of the end of a sunset make the sky and sea look deep blue and purple. A hill is silhouetted against the sky and the lights along the promenade and from a pub reflect against the water. A deep blue and purple sky and sea. Three people only visible as tiny glowing blobs use lit up floats to swim in Clevedon Marine Lake.

Paul, I've tried looking online, forgive me if I'm being dim but I can't find a link to the open mic, could you share it please?

Lack of money is why we don’t have enough working class artists being able to create seminal works. I don’t think the arts should belong solely to generationally wealthy people with access, it’s deeply damaging to have only one demographic hold the keys.

I haven't read The Waves, will have to add it to my (long) list. Have you read 'The Infernal Desire Machines of Doctor Hoffman' by Angela Carter? I think you would enjoy it if not. I'm not particularly good at describing books but it's surrealism and artistry is both disturbing and compelling.

I have to admit I really struggled with this book when I read it quite a few years ago... I just didn't get it, but perhaps I should give it another go at some point.

Thanks Alan, 'a curse' seems fitting for the flip side of fame.

What's up my lovely fellow poets for this week's #PoemsAbout #Mannequin! When I saw the theme for this week, I gleefully knew my selection! I got this title in my head and wrote a poem! A little longer poem!

Thank you! There was quite a bit of crossing out and scribbling to get the words right 😅
