"Say Uncle" by @ryanb4890.bsky.social is a poignant story that concisely illustrates the many horrors birthed from toxic masculinity while entwining it with the occult. The narrative comforts with humor before cutting with fantastical & real horror.

A fantastic book that hits childhood nostalgia.

Not only is that true but I felt the ending tied everything up nicely. It felt like everything in the story was leading up to that moment. Both satisfying and a bittersweet illustration of growing up. A twisted but sad coming of age story.

"...And Out Come The Toys" by @brandenburgdm.bsky.social is absolutely brutal. There are a few visceral scenes in there that legitimately made me feel queasy while also getting emotionally gut punched.

It was an absolute delight to read and I look forward to my toy induced nightmares.
