the discussion around the hamnet movie has been very bizarre to me because it almost entirely seems to revolve around people treating it as chloe zhao's personal take on shakespeare with practically zero interest in it as, you know, an adaptation of the novel "hamnet." which is what it is.

no steve yedlin in the oscar's cinematography shortlist. I get the academy not wanting to nominate a genre film like Wake Up Dead Man, but Yedlin is such an innovative force in the biz right now it seems silly not to recognize him. I'm sure he'll get his dues someday.

I had an awful habit of losing USBs in high school trying to transfer writing projects back and forth between my home and the school computers. more or less stopped needing them after that point except for like university presentations, and any writing stuff I would work through google docs. UNTIL.

This list is generally pretty good with the exception of Rogue One being too high and the consistent mistake of people thinking RotS is the best prequel when it is actually the worst.
haven’t seen ROS or Solo but this seems like a pretty ball-knowing list from Pritzker, particularly if he volunteered the name “Star Wars” rather than “A New Hope”
