Cassandra in Reverse – Holly Smale – Read this on the recommendation of my wife, and really enjoyed everything about this.

Black River Orchard – Chuck Wendig – This was great. I like his writing, I like his themes.

I did also get to The Dark Forest, which I enjoyed even more, and then Death’s End, which did a great job of ending this BIG trilogy.

The Three-Body Problem – Cixin Liu – Loved this soooo much, until I discovered it was part of a trilogy, and left at the end of the book without knowing that I wasn’t getting a “finish.”

The list, if anyone's interested:

American War – Omar El Akkad – Loved this

Cloud Atlas – David Mitchell - Really enjoyed it, especially the structure/form

Every Heart a Doorway – Seanan McGuire – Surprised by what this was, and enjoyed listening to all of it.

No one says to legit business owners, "hey I see there's an underground market selling toxic knock-offs of your product: how will you incorporate the toxic product AND protect your customers against its harms?" But apparently it's fine to make this suggestion to educators with respect to AI.

From one music prof to another, this is totally doable. I’ll never chase a running time, but I’ve just hit that 225 mark, and if I can, I’m pretty sure anyone can. (Doesn’t hurt to have an 18 yo son who keeps me focused on this aspect of life outside of teaching…)
