We could get to net zero in ten years. That's what annoys me. Everything we do is utterly inefficient. I don't know levels needed to see reductions - I've seen 350-400. I think it is a complex problem not suited to simple answers, not least as it depends upon natural phenomenal we yet understand.

Monetarism doesn't work. I have ideas about what the point of this could be. Primarily it seems to be fear and chaos. They are profitable business models.

If only we had a cheap reliable way to harvest fusion energy landing on Earth from somewhere in the meantime.

We need a revolution in societal organisation. The Labour policy of evolutionary change ignores the evidence and protects those who supposedly benefit from the neoliberal status quo. The fact is none of us does - across all measures, more equal societies work better for all.

I think it's bigger than that. If the empire fails, if the dollar fails, what happens then? What if they are trying to make the dollar fail? What happens then? Do we have war? Or do we have global socialism? Those are the two choices. Those are the fears of the wealthy. Trump doesn't pay his debts.

I think a dollar collapse and debt default and/or hyperinflation might be the endgame. I think Trump wants to not pay (or devalue) the debt — it's just another bad contract for 'things that wouldn't have happened were he always president', in his infantile mind.
