satire is dead, part 34336.

Also - weird to feel sure this is going to be a smash hit. Dystopia as a guidebook rather than a warning.

Death Stranding. Interesting game! Unusual. I loved the walking, way more than expected. And zip line strategies, that was just wonderful. Loved the vibe, the oddly operatic sci fi plot. Del Toro and Winding Refn for the win. Bit repetitive structure and more variation in mission would have helped.

no dog in this fight, could be the best movie ever or a steaming pile, I wish it well. But fuck me that colour grade is painful. Like a cheap 'add blue to the shadows' five seconds of colour correcting to some DV video to pimp it for a corporate client. Rubbish.
New look at David Corenswet as Superman.

no way is this politically sustainable, come on. Get it done and over with.

Relatively new to bluesky and any tips for curating stuff out ones feed? I have loads of cat pictures. Cats. I'm glad people like cat pics but they do nothing for me. How do I excise this - the 'show less like this' appears to be a placebo click, does nothing.

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die.

Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.

Enjoying the vast first person open world of Far Cry, and the chaotic mayhem gameplay. Same drawback as all ubisoft titles, though - the story, the quests and side quests, dont hold for such a long game. Needs more structure. More personal character growth.

rewatching all the Ghibli stuff with my kids and oh man Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind is just superb, honestly for a lesser-seen Ghibli it's such a wonderful piece, so many astonishing visuals, that haunting folkloric piece of music that drops out of nowhere is insane. Love this movie deeply.

Just finished last episode of Better Call Saul. Phew, what a show. Feel like I've been dipping in and out of that world for 15 years. Quite a remarkable feat, every episode a minor epic in its own right. Going to miss living in downtown Albuquerque..
