I feel so sick reading this. She dedicated her life to helping her immigrant trans siblings, finally got the medical care she sought her whole life, and then a year later ICE tricked her, kidnapped her and used her postoperative status as a weapon to destroy her health.

i don't know anyone anywhere who has been successfully cancelled. everyone who has ever preyed on me or my friends is still popular and well liked.
inevitably, the idea that you can "drive people out of community" is weaponized aganst the most vulnerable and is often transmisogynistic.

my favorite thing about liberals is the incessant need to triangulate what the political outcomes will be five years from now instead of thinking about how to materially help people right now.
