"We are going to take our capital back." Can be tacitly heard to say that it is not the capital of the unhoused that are being rounded up. So they are not citizens of the US. Words matter, who do you think is meant by the our?

I keep seeing reports with quotes from US Governors and Congress members, bemoaning the loss of, Canadians buying US products & tourism. I would love just 1 of them to recognize why it is happening, do something to stop the 51st state talk and work against the tariffs. 🧵
