Archaeology in the UK is a middle-class hobby that spawned a minor academic discipline, fragments of public sector, and an underpaid profession. Whole thing needs a hard reset.

Studying the Celts & Romans in primary school led to a general interest, and then the Tomb Raider movie in 2001 led me to the games, and later an Egyptology degree.
