Minnesota Republicans introduced a bill that would classify anyone having mental health issues directly relating to Trump’s policies a mental health disorder. The bill will likely not pass due to split voting, and I’m willing to bet there were zero mental health professionals brought in on this.

Everything is tied back to disability. When people are dehumanized, many do what they can to tie it to disability somehow and make it so that they don't get treated with decency. "That person is mentally ill." "They are lazy." "They're stupid." By fighting ableism, you're fighting dehumanization.

Today, my county rejected my partner’s ability to become my paid caregiver on the premise that I’m not “disabled enough.” Mind you, I’ve been on disability since 2021 and went through an OT assessment who provided written and signed proof of my need for a caregiver based on my impaired ADLs.
