Thank you to the DuPage County DOT for cleaning up the party site on the Prairie Path at the Klein creek bridge.

Now if we can get some increased patrols on the path north of Geneva Rd they will hopefully reduce the litter and vandalism caused by the illegal drinking, etc at night.

With several inches of snow on the ground and with below freezing temps the snow will not melt soon. Pedestrians and bicyclists need your help when clearing off your driveways. Please clear your sidewalks so they may travel safely to school, shop, etc.

New signs on the trails in DuPage County suggest common courtesy to follow.

I haven’t seen it illustrated like this before. Very effective messaging. Of course it actually depends a lot on how fast the vehicle’s being driven, how big the vehicle is and how it’s designed, and how small the victims (too often kids) are. Via @yegbike.bsky.social #SpeedKills #CarBloat

Thank you to the City of St Charles for making nonmotorized travelers a higher priority and improving the safety of 2 street crossings! Main Street in St Charles is Route 64, which serves as the major connection between the GWTs in DuPage and Kane counties.

With the return of warm weather, trail usage increases. We hope drivers will help us using the trails safely cross the roads.

And in Illinois pedestrians have the right of way.
