SCOTUS handing down decisions without explanation violates fundamental common law: Judges must "show their work" so everyone else can know the basis. If the analysis is consistent with precedent, other judges, lawyers and citizens can rely on it as law. /ctd

@aflcio.org 'CONGRESS' did not do this. DONALD JOHN TRUMP and the REPUBLICANS did this.
Speak truth to your members!
Congress voted to pass the largest job-killing bill in history.

Congress voted to take away health care from 17 million people to pay for tax breaks for billionaires.

Congress voted to take away food assistance from 3 million people.

Congress voted to betray working people.

Senator David Padilla should not have attempted to politicize DHS Secretary Kristi Noem’s press conference announcing that the federal government would liberate Los Angeles from socialism. Tomorrow in the New York Times

Yes, I heard about the Secretary of the Army being a witless buffoon. I need to say this as gently as possible, but you have to understand that I already assume everyone* in this administration is a witless buffoon and every time they speak nonsense vomits forth like wodge of overly masticated gum
Dan Driscoll [answering cell phone]: Hello?
Voice: Hi it’s the moon
Driscoll: I told you to stop calling
Voice: I going to hit your eye like a big pizza pie
Driscoll: I HAVE ALERTED THE FBI TO THIS HARASSMENT
Voice: I have a man in me
Driscoll: THIS IS DISRESPECT TO THE MILITARY

Visited the remarkable Newberry National Volcanic Monument today, amazing vistas and trails in central Oregon. They couldn't charge the $5 entry fee as the system was down, no plan to fix it and no staff available. Rangers and docents were great but stressed. Many visitors. Efficiency my a**.

Let's just call this "the Great Leap Backwards." Mao would approve of sending the "intelligentsia" to labor in factories, and their children and grandchildren too, to serve the ideology of a small, powerful faction. www.yahoo.com/news/u-secre...
U.S. Secretary of Commerce says the ‘new model’ is factory jobs for life—for you, your kids, and your grandkids
“This is the new model, where you work in these plants for the rest of your life, and your kids work here, and your grandkids work here,” U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick says.

Trump and the common action problem. I live on a country lane, private road about 9 houses. Lane needed reconstruction. 8 owners agreed to fund, 1 didn't. 8 could've taken 1 to court to require contribution, 2 lawyers in 8 happy to do free. 8 couldn't agree to fight. 8 fund rebuild, 1 has it free.

These regulations have served as trade barriers protecting higher-quality US products against cutrate foreign imports. So working *against* US manufacturing protection.

Sotomayor: "The implication of the Government’s position is that not only noncitizens but also United States citizens could be taken off the streets, forced onto planes, and confined to foreign prisons with no opportunity for redress if judicial review is denied unlawfully before removal"
#BREAKING: 5-4 Court, with Barrett joining the three Dem. appointees in dissent *vacates* Chief Judge Boasberg’s temporary restraining orders in the Alien Enemy Act cases. Judicial review must be available, Court holds, but has to come through habeas petitions:

I saw a version of this on here before but it's worth yelling: these institutions that Musk is illegally dismantling– the weather service, health system, climate & energy research, international aid, maybe the US mail(?)– they don't belong to him, they belong to us. We invested in them. They're ours
