And they often are not even very intelligent, well spoken or organized. They are just haphazardly dumb and mean, quite confident they won't be challenged on their points, or held to any public accountability for their bigotry.

Just to clarify my point. Be extremely wary about agreeing with Republicans in medicalizing transgender issues. It won't lead to housing and job accommodations, it will lead to stigma and institutionalizations. They use the mask of care and concern to mask their bigoted agenda.

I was listening to a Missouri senate committee hearing just yesterday and the Republican senators compared transgender people to amputation fetishists or people who believe they are actually batman. Its really bad out here.
