I'll say this: it's probably easier to live with diabetes than it is to try to get your glp-1 prescription filled. I was miserable, but I at least didn't have to do admin work for an hour after my regular job every motherfucking day just to find out what's going on.

Glp update: I don't feel bad, at all. I feel fine. I feel like maybe how a normal person would. The elimination of night sweats has been amazing and increase my quality of life. Although last night I woke up randomly at 2 AM. probably work anxiety????

Life update: I finally got my Zepbound prescription so I am officially on a GLP journey. It's only been 4 days and I already notice results like more stable blood sugar so I'm not sweating as much as I used to and my heart isn't constantly pounding.

They aren't smart, they are not calculated. One of them was on fucking Real World and is the least memorable one from the entire cast. They live for clout, they only have bad PR. Bots, troll accounts, and people experience religious psychosis are not supporters.
I am bad at predictions but I'm going to make one anyway. I think the Trump admin and Republicans are going to get worse, making even more dramatic authoritarian moves at a feverish pace and this will code to many as increasing strength. But in fact they will be losing popularity and control.

Democracy, more than anything is a practice. I always think that the Civil Rights Movement succeeded because from the Civil War black Americans built institutions: universities, fraternities and sororities, churches, that engaged them in democratic practice.
generally speaking, and with the glaring exception of november 2024, the more directly democratic an institution has been, the better it has checked Trump (eg grand and petit juries); the more elite and insular, the less effective (the Senate, the Supreme Court, big business)
