I cook. I ramble. Mostly, to metal.

Bun bo Hue is THE Vietnamese soup for me and most Viet people I have met, actually. I haven't had a single good experience with pho here; I can cook it myself (and have!) but it simply is way too bland.

Don't believe them. It's grossly overrated. Even Vietnamese people wonder at the popularity of pho in the West (it's a terribly bland broth and people dump immense amounts of hoisin sauce in it; it has no real Vietnamese flavor to it as we mostly know it in America).

Of course! I've been missing a lot lately because of my family stuff but you're doing amazing!!

I am a great enemy of pho.

How do you eat it, with your hands??

It's me, I'm the one who bookmarked this.

4:45am, waiting for the first flight and already thinking about how I will very likely order pizza tonight #WhySoFat (but I have nothing at home!)

It's never delightful with my family, but I was happy to be here for my friend's wedding and mom's birthday.

Probably toast with homemade bread, olive oil and serrano ham freshly sliced off the leg.

I never did ClearSky, but I've seen a lot of people complaining about this!

I strongly believe in going simple for big bird dinners (Thanksgiving, Christmas) to maximize the leftovers. Pungent flavors in your main dinner = stuck with those for the leftovers. Not for me.

Sundubu jjigae is another good guess. I can eat one or the other quite literally every day.

Happy Sunday! It's sunny again after a few days of rain, and I went for a walk with my mom, then ordered a roast chicken that we will pick up for lunch.

We all know it can't.

+ Everybody close to me is vocally concerned about me being so alone. But I look at the unavoidable facts of life, at the loneliness of a silent house and endless empty hours at the end, and I feel soothed thanks to the preparedness of a lifetime on my own.
