We've seen this failure everywhere. High schoolers are struggling with the Declaration of Independence. Teachers are forced into "happy talk" discussions about nothing because kids lack vocabulary and reading fluency. It's a pedagogical crisis creating a civic crisis. (2/3)

There’s a very simple way to fight back: USE YOUR LIBRARY. Get a card. Check out books. Book the meeting spaces. Statistics save libraries from defunding. (3/3)
