Is our Future in history or is our Future history if we keep heading down the current path that we are on?

The Future us needs the current us to figure it out and learn from our mistakes instead of continually repeating them.

The Future is watching!
The unfortunate and shameful event in Minneapolis today is a harsh and cruel reminder on how the actions of a few can have a country/world changing impact.

The actions of the Trump administration are not ascending the United States to a greater moral authority. They are destroying it.

I'm old enough to remember when CBS News and journalists like Edward R. Murrow held power to account, instead of capitulating to it.

-Walmart
-Amazon

-Meta

All promised after January 6, 2021 to stop funding lawmakers who tried to overturn the 2020 election.

And all have broken that promise.

There are a hundred more important things to say, and I tried to say some of them in my essay for "Thinking About...", but: invading a country for oil is also just atavistic at this point. Even if it worked, which it won’t, it still wouldn’t work.
Wall Street’s biggest banks made more money financing green projects than they did from working with fossil fuel companies for a fourth straight year, even as they faced ongoing pressure to pull back from the business

For those who want to understand the true impact of Trump's actions in Venezuela, take 30 minutes of your time and let HCR educate you. Great stuff.

Remember, there is no drug problem if humans choose not to use drugs. Easier said than done I know.

The lesson of history is that tyrants cannot be appeased.

Appeasement only feeds their insatiable hunger for power.

Tyrants prey on people who feel unsafe and vulnerable.

But without mass submission, a tyrant is powerless.

Remember this.

The world needs a lot less complaining and more positive action to change things for the better. This not only helps the Present but the Future as well.

One does wonder how long the Future will need to deal with the fallout from this Trump administration. The damage that they are doing to not only America's reputation but to the reputation of the human species is unforgivable.

A leader doesn't feel the need to give a speech like that.

Families have paid an extra $1,200 on goods this year because of his tariffs.

Popular holiday gifts are 26% more expensive this year compared to 2024.

Remember this as Trump calls affordability a "hoax" and a "con job."
