Finished 'Malice' last night (pondered the desirability of yet another super-rich family in peril-ler, bit after seeing this by James 'Rev' Wood, 'Rev' holy good) - tropes galore but we ripped through it, enjoying how familiar chords were played. Surprisingly good ending, too, which is very rare.

Finished 'Malice' last night (pondered the desirability of yet another super-rich family in peril-ler, bit after seeing this by James 'Rev' Wood, 'Rev' holy good) - tropes galore but we ripped through it, enjoying how familiar chords were played. Surprisingly good ending, too, which is very rare.
A year or so in the trenches, going through ever decreasing circles of writing hell and you'll be in the country for months and months, Rose, lazy butterflies, church bells, the lot!

That the edition I bought in a charity shop last summer: I rather like the cover, reminds me a little of this album sleeve.
I reread 'A Severed Head' and first read 'A Word Child' last year, loved both (esp 'AWC'). This not meant to be in same league, and isn't!, but it's short. Will stay with it.
