Nice photo! 1955-56 had some deep snow depths in Anchorage...
Of the 15 winters with <= 4" of snow depth on Jan 15, only a couple of them managed to bounce back to above average levels. Not inspiring, though perhaps a pretty good chance of at least increasing the snow pack a bit in Feb. @climatologist49.bsky.social @alaskawx.bsky.social

Yes, this is grim. Not good to be tied with the 2015-16 snow depth. [Side note: there appears to be a gremlin in the ACIS system that ate the Nov 2023 data.]
