Spidey bombed for multiple reasons. If you love the comics and love cracking packs, pick one up for the dopamine hit. Otherwise, not much point.

If you see a specific few cards that speak to you, buy singles.

I can appreciate that these sets bring in new players that would have never played. But it's also driving many entrenched players away - how many new players stick around for the next set after their pet IP is done? I want new players, but can relate to people saying it's become unrecognizable.

They were all slam dunks, as I think ATLA is. And to be clear, I've been excited about many of the UB sets (but not all, and that's it's own problem). The major issue is that they're putting out way too many products in such a short span of time. It's overwhelming and a big turnoff.
