OK, so thats weird. I was posting a comment on FB and added a link to the LA Times story but had to put a space in the URL to get around the fact that they refuse to follow Canadian law and pay royalties for news items. I get a 180 ban for violating Meta community guidelines somehow.

End Racism. An innocuous statement. Shouldn't be controversial. And yet, the NFL has removed that message from the end zone for the Super Bowl game today. Why? Because the Cheeto-In-Chief will be at the game.

Trump signs Laken Riley Act into law. It aims to detain all illegal migrants who admit, are arrested for, or are convicted of crimes such as property theft, assaulting a police officer, or crime involving death or serious injury. But J6 get pardons, and several are committing heinous crimes. Irony?

One of Trump's executive orders was to reinstate the federal death penalty. Trump had made sure to execute a number of prisoners in his final days of his last term.

It's day 1 of the new administration. Interesting that the media seems more taken with the fact that he's changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico than the fact that he's closed the Mexican border, declared a national emergency, and declared that trans people don't exist. Distracted yet?
