"Staring contest"
Lately, a couple of White-tailed Deer have taken to hanging around my house. They are very cautious and scamper whenever I open the door. That's fine, I'd rather they didn't develop a taste for my garden plants!

#Autumn is really when the Ruffed Grouse's plumage helps it stay safe from predators and hunters. With the background of fallen leaves and its careful gait, it is easy to miss in the landscape.
