The 109-year-old Lake Street Bridge, a double-decked bascule bridge built in 1916 and last rehabilitated in 1995, will close to all traffic 9 AM tomorrow, October 6th, until January 2028 for construction to complete various structural & system replacements and historic bridge house restorations.
