Working on some smooth low-poly 3D tiles, for subterranean environments.
Having trouble with Blender, getting the sharp seams/normals to be shared across different tile shapes. Tricky to get the edges pointing the same kind of forward, but keep the vertical smoothing. Like the general look though!

Stonesense, the isometric front-end for Dwarf Fortress I made with friends... which was the inspiration for Minecraft's pixels-and-cubes look.
When Notch was considering pivoting graphical styles to something higher-res, our chats might be what convinced him to keep the pixels-and-cubes look, too.

Mentioned this a while back, but I've come into possession of a bunch of Vogue and Good Housekeeping magazines from the 60s onward, which don't seem to be archived anywhere.
Does anyone know of any ways to digitize these quickly? I'm willing to scan these by hand, but I bet there's a quicker way.

My "game dev jobs continue to implode" plan involves equal parts spinning up an overambitious solo indie project, and getting experience in practical Economic Depression skills like carpentry, machining, soldering, and welding, just in case.
