After a brief hiatus thanks to covid, I'm back to reviewing Fruit of Her Hands by Nancy Wilson. In my opinion, this is one of the worst marriage books out there (not the worst, that would go to Created to be His Helpmeet, which I'll be reviewing once I can handle it)

Hey, an occasional reminder:

Should you be fighting fascism here in the US? Yes, you should!

Are you the one who decides how best you can do that? Yes, you are!

Should the people who decide that you're not doing it right (i.e., the way they want you to) fuck off into the sun? Yes, they should!

Diving in to the first chapter of Fruit of Her Hands. It's been....interesting, to say the least...

This. This is exactly why there's such a huge divide and why there's no more ability to "reach across the aisle" or talk to MAGAts.

I just finished "The Fruit of Her Hands" by Nancy Wilson. I'm going to edit and then start publishing my chapter-by-chapter breakdown, but knowing this is the life our dear leaders want for all women in this country? My mental health needs a break. I'm done for the day.

So, in the ongoing saga of my divorce (and tbf, STBX is in therapy and doing the work. Divorce still has to happen and is mostly amicable, thank goodness) and my former church's response, the pastor continues to be abusive and not at all trauma-informed.

Look, all I'm saying is people shouldn't be surprised that someone who had their reading list highly curtailed so read "The Hiding Place" multiple times, and whose movies were highly limited so watched "The Sound of Music" on repeat is anti-not see and hates what's happening right now.

Doing it so you don't have to. I'm going through Nancy Wilson's (of Christ Church fame) book "The Fruit of Her Hands" and dissecting it and how it gaslights women into staying in abuse and voting against their interests.

But lemme tell ya, theres not enough alcohol to deal with this sh*t.
