I would argue that the Midwest ends around the Flint Hills, but there’s always some fuzziness to transition zones. I grew up in the transition zone between the Tidewater and Old Piedmont. My parent’s house is located in Tidewater swamp country, about 15 miles from those rolling Piedmont hills.

This is the most accurate depiction of the Midwest to date. Wichita has always felt like the last Midwest city while also being the first plains city.

This is very nearly the same way that Mister Worf's Neighborhood started...
Comic Strip of Mister Worf’s Neighborhood.

First panel: Worf in a red cardigan and Geordi in a teal sweater over a pink colored shirt are waiting in a corridor on the Enterprise D. Geordi says “I’m going to check on Data, He’s been acting strange ever since I started my show.”

Panel 2: Geordi waiting at Data’s door with a “chirrup” sound as a doorbell.

Panel 3: The door to Data’s quarters with the word “Enter” being spoken from within.

Panel 4: Data with a slightly graying brown beard and big poof of curly hair is painting an angry orange giant cat knocking over trees against a mountain backdrop. He is turned toward the reader asking, “what can I do for you, Geordi

A 3 1/2 star review for a must-see documentary: "I knew I could count on one group to be fearless, baddest-of-badass warriors for the public good: school and public librarians."

This movie reminds us there is just one way to separate truth from propaganda: learning.
