Always makes me feel sad to see mom having to hunt herself and return so damp and tired because she had to go for a last ditch frog hunting as dad brought nothing 😔
Can't win all days. Dad's been on an upwards trend. While he was lackluster/antisocial tonight, was still miles ahead of his "usual".

Meanwhile, a little update from Nest 2, the 4th and final egg has successfully hatched as well and the owlet has been taken under mom immediately as usual, while the other hatchlings (up to 10 days old now) are quite curious 🤭

Meanwhile, a little update from Nest 2, the 4th and final egg has successfully hatched as well and the owlet has been taken under mom immediately as usual, while the other hatchlings (up to 10 days old now) are quite curious 🤭

Not much bonding, little time in the nest by dad, but mom got a feast! She got so excited the moment she realized dad was bringing something big 🤣
Rabbit was so large, quickly realized she couldn't gulp it down and had to take bites instead.
Comfy floofy night afterwards, couple more dad visits.

She only spent a little around midnight out (likely) hunting. But other than that, she remained mostly in and around the nest, and didn't go out at all during her usual hunting time of 4-6:30am before dawn and waited for him.

It finally happened! Dad's improving behavior for the past week, more time in nest with mom, allopreening sessions, keeping watch around

It finally happened! Dad's improving behavior for the past week, more time in nest with mom, allopreening sessions, keeping watch around
All led to the first prey gift in over 3 weeks just before dawn!

If it wasn't for the PlayStation Wrap-Up, I wouldn't have remembered I actually never ended up finishing Final Fantasy VII Rebirth due to starting to feel like a slog and completely giving up on Platinum Trophy as well...
I should also return to FFXVI, still need to play DLC2 and get Platinum.

If it wasn't for the PlayStation Wrap-Up, I wouldn't have remembered I actually never ended up finishing Final Fantasy VII Rebirth due to starting to feel like a slog and completely giving up on Platinum Trophy as well...

Both of them seem to be enjoying their new balcony a lot!
Dad used to jump to entrance and fly off within 10-15s, now he spends about 3-4mins scouting, even jumped to the roof once!
Mom has taken a huge liking as well, doing most of her calls there, no longer feels the need to jump to cam pole.

Dad made 7 visits, stayed in the nest with mom for hours in total, with a lot of allopreening sessions... And not all of them were forced into initiation by mom getting into dads face for attention... Only about half of them were 🤣

Finally getting back some dedication, Gourmet Training has been completed! I now have a fancy cooking station in my home instance!
I just have to figure out how to use the garden though...

Both her (Pic 1) and dad (Pic 3, 5 minutes later), were surprised by the new porch balcony added to their suite during the day while they were off, and had to turn around to look at what they landed onto 🤣

Was a decent night. Not as much time spent together, but dad was still in the nest plenty, even nest scraping for over 5 minutes.
Mom was looking quite chipper and currently is dealing with a very warm day in Florida.
Not a step forward or anything, but positive consistency is also good.

What a promising night! I genuinely feel like both mom and dad are extremely socially awkward if that's a thing with owls.

The weather has warmed back up a bit where the nest is, so after a couple days, mom has once again taken her Angel Stance in full form to chill a bit 👼

Meanwhile, having come back from work & finally catching up with the other nest, just in time for the second owlet hatch! Congratulations for #2 mom!
There's also a saga developing with Speckles, the third owl in the relationship. Mom refused mating and told him to bring food if he wants something.

No surprises with Hana ni Natte top from Kusuriya. Endless Embrace and Vandalize will continue to remain on my Top 5 for at least a couple more years. Without You was #6, Wasteland #9, Burning #12, Bite Marks #13 etc.

No surprises with Hana ni Natte top from Kusuriya. Endless Embrace and Vandalize will continue to remain on my Top 5 for at least a couple more years. Without You was #6, Wasteland #9, Burning #12, Bite Marks #13 etc.
