Essentially, it's akin to drooling while scrolling mindless short-form videos for hours in the form of a shooter video game.
I'm seeing sparks of the Battlefield games I love, especially on the larger maps. But at least 50% of the time, it's just AGGH RAGH ZOOM, where I can feel brain cells dying.

I was like, dang, Alanah really went all in on that trash?
Well played, well played.
Well played, well played.

I want to disagree because in a sea of easy games I think a few should be allowed to be hard.
However, I'm pretty much always in favor of difficulty settings that go in both directions and are a far better solution than sweeping changes that affect everyone.

Had a similar experience with ADHD and Autism. Learning you're both of these things in your 30s suddenly makes an entire life's struggles history shine with renewed clarity.
It's a bitter sweet feeling. But better late than never!

Kinda puts some bad confidence into Daggerheart. You're own game isn't good enough for your own table, why should anyone believe it's good enough for theirs?

Always a great feeling when you're legitimately excited to table a game as opposed to skeptical or cautiously optimistic.

And not being interested enough to learn heavier board games is perfectly fine! But I won't waste both of our times trying to convert you with something lighter.

Oh, I agree 100%. Someone brought someone completely new to board games to a game of Twilight Imperium once, and I taught him the game just fine. It's all to do with willingness and interest rather than anything else, which is perfectly fine.
