We have the German physician Franz Anton Mesmer to thank for giving us the right word to describe Rhys’ performance. It was simply mesmerising, an actor at the top of his game, paying homage to another great ✍️Jon Gower
Theatre review: Playing Burton at the Reardon Smith, Cardiff
Jon Gower It’s been sixteen years since the actor Matthew Rhys has appeared been on stage, keeping himself busy in the States with TV series such as The Americans and Brothers and Sisters rather than…

Wales' lineout with Adam Beard post-RWC2023: 91%

Wales' lineout without Adam Beard in that time: 73%

Throw in the fact that he made as many tackles as the NZ starting locks combined and Wales have modded their defence to be led by him and I'd say that's worth a spot in the team.
I’m not going to name him but it doesn’t exactly take sherlock holmes to work it out, Wales fans will know who it is straight away

There is a Wales tight 5 forward who in 231 minutes of rugby this autumn has made 3 carries for zero metres.

Just finished this ⬇️ - a superb new book on the modern space race: Musk’s SpaceX vs Bezos’ Blue Origin, NASA vs the private sector, and the US vs China. Fascinating, detailed, and brilliantly told. Highly recommended!

Just finished this ⬇️ by Luke Rowe - a brilliant insight into the role of a pro-cycling road captain and Luke's own experiences. Learnt loads that'll change how I watch future races. Easily one of the best pro-cycling books I've read!

What a game in Sonning this afternoon! Aberavon trailed the Rams 24-0 after 36 mins and 24-5 at the break… then came back with 33 unanswered second-half points to win 38–24 🤯 A useful pre-season game for both squads and a standout performance from Ben Gregory 👏🏻 🔴⚫

We go again! Aberavon RFC kick off pre-season in Sonning against the Rams RFC . After a great evening in Reading with Mrs G, it feels fitting to have a pre-match lunch at a pub called The George before the match. 🧙🏻‍♂️🔴⚫🏉

The atoms within you once burned in the heart of stars, chaotic and lifeless, and yet here you are, after half a dozen or so billion years, arranging them into love, questions, and hope. You are a miracle, a thermodynamic miracle.

Saddened to hear of Jim Lovell’s passing. He's long been one of my favourite astronauts - especially for Apollo 8.

Farewell & thanks for everything Captain James Lovell. Apollo 8 Command Module Pilot - arguably NASA’s boldest mission - Commander & survivor of the ill fated Apollo 13. I’ve met few people more inspiring or more generous with their legacy. God Speed, safe flight. #AdAstra #NASA

This planet is run by crazy people. Remember what they have to do to get where they are. Their perspective is so narrow, so...brief. A few years. In the best of them a few decades. They care only about the time they are in power.
