A few more pictures from my recent trip to the conservatory. I never paid much attention to leaves until I started gardening and began thinking about creating interesting plant combinations. #bloomscrolling #foliage #belleisleconservatory

A bunch of colorful orchids at the conservatory today. It may be snowing outside but it’s summer indoors. #bloomscrolling #flowers #orchid #winter #january #belleisleconservatory

Wishing all of you a very happy new year! 🎇🎆 Starting this year off with a last look at our garden in December. Only a few months to go until spring now! 🙈😅 #bloomscrolling #gardening #flowers #winter #december #january #happynewyear

Another bouquet to drive away the winter blues. This one a mix of garden greenery and dried seed heads with pops of red from a flower bouquet I found on sale at a local grocery store. #bloomscrolling #flowers #bouquet #pewabic #winter #december #IgnoreTheUglyLightSwitch

Tried my hand on a wintery garden bouquet. This one with evergreen box and dried seed heads from coneflower, agastache, and penstemon. #bloomscrolling #gardening #flowers #seedheads #winter #december #pewabic

Working on a few new pressed flower projects. Trying my hands on bookmarks. Here, the flowers are only laid out. Will post final products when everything is dried and ready to go. (And without funny ads underneath that are there to protect the table) #bloomscrolling #crafts #pressedflowers #books

It’s been incredibly gray and cold. The garden can’t decide if it’s a brown, muddy pit or a frozen tundra. Nevertheless, a few ways plants are still bringing joy and interest through the winter season. Giant Hyssop and Blazing Star being the stars of the December garden. 🌲 #bloomscrolling #garden

Snug like a bug in a rug. Our roses, hydrangea, and fig all tucked in for the winter. I usually do this in January but with the temperatures we’ve been having it seemed like a good idea to do this now. #bloomscrolling #gardening #winter #december #babyitscoldoutthere

It’s not the most photogenic time in the garden, so I hope you bear with me as I post another homemade #Christmas #decoration. Simply bought a bundle of mixed branches of #evergreens and repurposed decorations from last year. All in a pot that just last week held frozen marigolds. #gardening #crafts

It’s the season for more Christmas decorations! This is technically meant for a fireplace mantel but also works on a bookshelf. I think, my first attempt at making one of these was rather successful. 😊 #christmas #decoration #fireplace #craft #greenery

A snowy morning in the garden. The sedum and Euphorbia “Ascot Rainbow” looking quite dashing on this cold December Sunday. #bloomscrolling #garden #sedum #yarrow #winter #december #snow #weekend #euphorbia

Attended a wreath workshop today. Had hoped we’d actually do the entire wreath but most was already prepped and we only got to add a bit of finishing greenery and decorations. Nevertheless, I think it turned out well! Added some candles at home and .. “Voila!” 🕯️ #wreath #workshop #advent #christmas

Last day of the month. Just in time for a “The Garden in November” post! We had wonderful fall colors, late blooms, and snow. It’s been a good month in the garden. #bloomscrolling #november #gardening #flowers #collage

Our roses, hydrangea, and fig tree are all tugged in for the plummeting temperatures ahead. I have jute sacks on hand for when it gets really cold in January/February. For now, the leaves will do as a warming blanket. #bloomscrolling #gardening #fall #winter #november #thanksgiving #gardencare

Very windy day and the garden is looking more and more like winter. Snow in the forecast again and I still have to clean up the porch and put away pots. #spirea #november #thanksgiving #gardening

The (almost) 900 spring bulbs are dug in! 💪🏻 Unfortunately, no pictures from that ordeal. But here are some of our Montauk Daisies looking very fall. #bloomscrolling #flowers #gardening #fall #november #montauk #daisy
