Looked it up. Your statement is not correct. He was never a US citizen. In 2015 the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit denied citizenship (reasons attached) and SCOTUS in 2016 did not pick up the case. Without proof of citizenship he was then deported by ICE in 2025 based on the 2015 ruling.

Trump wants Greenland for one reason: Ego. Prestige. A legacy carved in landmass. He dreams of being the president who expanded US territory by 22%, as if a map could make up for a failed presidency. National security? Nope. History? Disposable. Greenland is a stage for his own absurd grandeur.
