I was not prepared for how much I’d enjoy the Undertow book. @hackintimseeley.bsky.social wrote a beautiful story about the Bohusk family. Juggernaut & Magik playing with the kids and that final interaction at the airport that Beak had was so lovely.

Yeah, the first Conan book I ever read was the 0 issue that those guys did to launch the Dark Horse stuff. I’m glad Marvel got to reprint all of that before they lost the license

Both of these books were awesome! I’d not read any of the classic Conan until the Epics started at Marvel. Titan reprinting and continuing the omnibuses has been so cool for me to get caught up

It was a weird little tale. It reminded me on Davis doing some Cross Time Caper type of story from Excalibur. The artwork was really cool. I also got a kick out of seeing the Wacky Races cameos.

friends, Erik Larsen Venom vs Spider-Man will heal your soul … Karla Pacheco digs deep for Ulysses S Lugman, with Pere Pérez putting V-Man against organized crime, which certainly works … and brief mention of the Agent Venom spin-off, a surprisingly enduring status quo for Eugene “Flash” Thompson

Venom: Black White & Blood #2 - Erik Larsen Variant cover. I’m sure this took him all of 45 minutes to draw but damned if it doesn’t look alive. And it looks different! He draws Spider-Man totally different now. Amazing! We take him for granted.

Venom: Black White & Blood #2. Interior page by Erik Larsen. Character page, Eddie Brock & his squeeze alongside Pete & MJ, from when they were married. God damn, yeah, I do miss this version of the characters. Adults. What I grew up with, so I’m biased.

Venom: Black White & Blood #2. Karla Pacheco & Pere Pérez. Always happy to see Karla anywhere she pops up. As you’d expect from her this is a grimy piece of work, Venom kills a mob guy with savage dispatch in a series of all-red panels. Nice.

Venom: Black White & Blood #2. Tom Waltz & Brian Level. Alright, who thought Agent Venom was ever going to stick around? No, it works so well he’s literally still Agent Venom, though I think he might have an antivenom suit right now. At this point he’s just someone who used to know a guy named Peter Parker but by far the biggest part of his life is that he got fucked up in the army real bad but now uses his military skills for good as Agent Venom. That’s a great hook, ngl. That’s why he stuck around. Is tight with Cap. It works. He used to have a kid sidekick Venom girl and I have no clue what happened to her but she was great too.

These Titan collections are beautiful. I believe they’re using the style of the Marvel omnibuses but they’re still gorgeous
