got this half working again and remembering all the pointless polish i put on it despite there not really being a game. the dust particles floating in the light and the fact he will tap his foot, scratch his arse or pick his nose if nothing is happening
A whole bunch of us have grown up in the UK knowing to flee in the other direction if we spot this flag anywhere. We’re not going to pause to see if there are stickers stuck below them.
And if they’re stuck elsewhere, we will not get close enough to see the text - again, we’re just going to leg it.
Free stickers suitable for flag-bearing lampposts. Send a large A4 envelope with a 1st class large stamp to me at Bragg Office, PO Box 6830 Bridport DT6 9BH and I’ll send you a sheet. #ReclaimtheFlag 🏴🏴🏴🇬🇧
i also couldn't get the perspective right for some things so i used a 3d modelling tool for the shapes of things like the stasis booths and then drew over the top
you can import to the new versions but it would need a lot of fixing probably. and i don't really want to buy the new version to allow mobile exports. not like i can release it anyway
i guess i did also spend quite a bit of time on things like the inventory and dialogue systems ready for the rest of the game, so it wasn't all polish. just mostly
thanks, i started focusing on polish target rather than getting the actual game done. classic mistake!
here's a bit more of it. you can see i've done animations for things like fans, drips from pipes, scrolling displays, lighting/shadows and parallax on things like the ceiling pipes
i wanted to do it as a mobile game but android changed their requirements so it became not really possible on that version. the windows version worked alright but on new phones you can't even install your own apks
i'd quite like to - got sidetracked for ages to the point where the version of gamemaker i had became defunct so wondered about sticking it in unity or something. lot of work i guess
