“You get a Section 59! You get a Section 59! Everybody gets Section 59s!”

We can live and dream.

Valid. See also: the knobgoblins at “the 10PM Club”* in my local Tesco car park doing burnouts, donuts and generally being antisocial cnuts.

* genuinely what they call themselves.

I’ve criticised that book before but everyone just tells me to wind my neck in.

What are people setting off fireworks for tonight?! They’re 11 days late, surely!

That’s quite un oeuf of that, thank you very much!

I wonder how many folks are marching towards the 'post reply' box with a screenshot of the guy from that new advert as I type this...

It's never too late! My brother is about halfway through a part-time degree (in photography) at Wolverhampton University which he's doing alongside his full-time job.

Arguably they could legitimately be called "thirst traps".

A chicken? Or the perfectly preserved remains of a Quagaar warrior? Double-A, actually.

Yeah, I keep considering a Norwegian cruise.

Not been on a cruise before, and in some ways I can't think of anything worse. I think it would be more interesting than a cruise through somewhere sunny, though!

Fun fact: I first learned this word when I was about 13 when it was the name (and plot) of an X-Files episode.

I am no expert when it comes to laundry, but until they can beat me folding an entire load of washing in the time it takes them to fold a single T-shirt, I'll give them a hard pass.

I did Iceland this time two years ago (just after the eruption!), and whilst it was a wonderful trip (and *very* expensive!) the weather was so selfish that the boat tour company postponed the Aurora sightseeing cruise each night I was there.

I'd love to go back and try again!

the fuck.

I guess that's part of the problem, to finance such a buyback programme for that many guns would be a big undertaking. Still, likely a drop in the ocean for the annual federal budget though, I don't know the numbers there.

But even if that *is* an issue, doesn't mean you don't *start*.

It works, too, at least in countries where there isn’t a fanaticism around gun ownership.

After Dunblane (in the UK), over 162,000 handguns were handed in to police (and the owners compensated)

One hundred and sixty two thousand.
