Many thanks to all of the GEC members that came out to pick up litter around Downtown Glendale on Saturday, June 28, 2025! 19 volunteers spent three hours collecting several bags of trash in the area around Glendale City Hall. The team collected many cigarette butts, which are a significant form of litter that often end up in storm drains and ultimately out into our water ways.

For years, Phil Anschutz has been building America's largest wind farm in rural Wyoming.

Soon after Donald Trump returned to office, the project got a rebranding. Now it's all about "American-made energy," and it includes a gigantic gas plant.

Phil Anschutz is already building America's biggest wind farm at his Wyoming ranch. Now he's pivoting to fossil fuels.

Our team modeled the Reconciliation 2025 energy and climate provisions. As currently written, the bill text would dramatically raise household energy costs, decimate the clean energy industry, and cost hundreds of thousands of jobs while dropping GDP. energyinnovation.org/report/asses...

🚨 RED ALERT: With AB 942, Assemblymember Lisa Calderon is using her office to attack California solar consumers and enrich her former employer, Edison.

Don't let her get away with it.

Asm. Lisa Calderon was an Edison lobbyist for 25 years before she became an Assemblymember. Edison and the other utilities want to undermine rooftop solar. So now Asm. Calderon has authored a bill to break 2 million solar contracts: AB 942. Call your legislator today and ask them to OPPOSE AB 942.
April 1, 2025 at 7:20 PM
No on AB 942! Breaking a contract that was one reason people rushed to get in before the deadline in the first place is extremely dangerous. It shakes faith in our system of laws when they can be arbitrarily canceled by powerful entities on a whim. This will be challenged in the courts if passed!
AB 942 would affect solar credits for people who installed the panels before April 2023. The bill’s author, Assemblywoman Lisa Calderon, is a former executive at the parent company of Southern California Edison
