For most of the world, the news of last week's shooting was a blip on the radar, but this kid is still fighting for his life. He, and his family, will literally be dealing with the impacts of this for the rest of their lives — and that's true for every single other kid who's been shot at school.

With a high school kid in my house, and a single digit number of miles (as the crow flies) to Evergreen HS, today’s shooting there hit way too close to home. I’m feeling a lot of feelings and I’m really glad I don’t have to send my kids to school tomorrow.
