We actually don’t even use our dishwasher except as a drying rack. It’s really not as useful as I’d like it to be.

We learned the hard way last year not to let it pile up, and I was worried we’d get hit harder today, but it’s looking like that probably won’t happen.

I’d rather spend a few thousand more and get a skid steer. But mostly don’t feel like spending that much.

Nah, we barely got over an inch, but my driveway is so damn long. It’s not the depth, it’s the surface area. And the fact that the sun won’t shine on it again until May.

Right? Where are the people using AI to solve real problems like this, washing dishes, making dinner, exercising, etc

Haha, yeah...I was shoveling while they walked the dogs. I planned to make them help me when the dogs were "walked enough" but I was over the shoveling thing before we got to that point.

I wish some of the clouds would have stuck around a bit longer! There were some great ones when it first started.

(Totally messed up the threading here, but oh well)
It wasn’t long before dogs wanted to go out again, since I’d cut their earlier walk short. The colors had waned a bit. Kids joined me for this walk, and the sky lit up again, featuring what my middle kid dubbed “the big pink.”

I rushed back to the house to call the kids out, and the colors exploded. The clouds were moving quickly, so the scene changed dramatically in just a few minutes

I first saw a pink glow while walking the dogs. I sought higher ground for a better view. From the street end of the driveway, it looked pretty spectacular with the clouds.

The 1st grade teacher 2 of them had did the peanut butter sandwich thing as a class lesson! She also used to say things like, “that’s not a question, it’s a comment,” and I love her.

Oh, this does remind me that I had to do this once, ages ago, and found a bunch of LEGO and some cash. Fortunately, no one in this household carries either in their pockets these days.

….changing the filter on the washing machine?

Looks like I need to make a bingo card for myself, too.
November 2, 2025 at 4:19 PM
Ooof, yeah!
I’m thinking of a whole bunch of (mostly minor) plumbing stuff now….
Maybe this will have to be a “new card every month of 2026” thing….

Ironically, this is probably the only way they know how to make a paper check happen, since I no longer have a checkbook!

Ooo, shutting off the propane is a good one. And changing the furnace filters!
We’re on a well where we’re living now, and I’m not even sure I know if there’s an equivalent to shutting off the water to the whole house, aside from cutting power to the well pump. 🤔

About 10 years ago, I laughed when my sister sent her kids to handwriting camp.
I get it now.

If I personally had 18 rushing yards going into the 4th quarter, it’d be a PR
