Thor’s Helmet (NGC 2359) is a 30-light-year-wide cosmic bubble sculpted by the fierce winds of a Wolf-Rayet star nearing supernova. Glowing filaments weave through this stellar cloud, located 15,000 light-years away. Captured in stunning detail, it’s a true celestial marvel.

🧪The first metal 3D part created in orbit has landed on Earth.

The sample was produced by our Metal 3D Printer on the International Space Station. Now, it’s on Earth for the first time, at ESA ESTEC in the Netherlands.

Thamana enjoying a peaceful dust bath is a heartwarming sight, especially knowing how his journey began. In 2018, KWS rangers discovered a tiny month-old calf stranded in a drying waterhole along the Voi River Circuit. Rescued just in time, he’s now thriving: swt.bio/thamana

Researchers found 14 of the 20 amino acids essential for life on Earth in samples from the ancient asteroid Bennu.

Dr. Danny Glavin and Dr. Dante Lauretta join us to discuss the samples and what they mean for the search for life beyond Earth.
Building Blocks Of Life Found On Asteroid Bennu
Early analysis of asteroid samples from NASA’s OSIRIS-REx mission show the residue of an icy brine, and a soup of amino acids.
